Sub base components

Surface dressing
2-4mm surface dressing is to be applied to the surface of Aquaflow. The surface dressing should be brushed/vibrated between pavers.

Laying course
Material supplied shall be referred to as 2-6mm clean crushed stone.

Upper sub base
Material supplied shall be referred to as 5-20mm clean crushed stone.

Lower sub base
Material supplied shall be referred to as 10-63mm clean crushed stone.

SC Intergrid
The Intergrid should be incorporated at the interface between the the two layers of sub base.

Inbitex
Inbitex cleanses the water entering the system. All oils and silts are captured by the Inbitex.

Distribution tanks
A distribution tank is for use in association with down pipe drainage into a tanked system.

Formpave's® Aquaflow® permeable paving system is a sustainable urban drainage system (SUDS). The Aqualflow® system prevents run-off and flooding from paved areas, and collects and filters storm water for later use.
The patented system allows rain to infiltrate through a permeable block paving surface into a unique sub-base.

How does it work?

The water passing through the Aquaflow® SUDS system is cleaned by filtration and microbial action. It is then released in a controlled manner into sewers or water courses.  Or, can be harvested and used for watering plants or flushing toilets.
