Burdens Environmental adds GreenSpec on-line service
Green Building Products Specification
Burdens Environmental is pleased to announce that it has teamed up with green building products compendium GreenSpec to develop a new internet-based specification-building application called My GreenSpec. Aimed at architects, building designers and specifiers,
My GreenSpec
My GreenSpec will save time and effort by assembling an outline specification. From a personalised web page, users will be able to select construction elements and assign products to components from the GreenSpec database before outputting the information to a text document. The application will enable specifiers to check availability of products as well as to make initial costing enquiries using the Burdens supply database.
Sandy Patience, GreenSpec’s site editor commented: “Using the power of a new generation of web tools, My GreenSpec will allow specifiers to quickly build-up an outline specification based on their chosen products, comfortable in the knowledge of an assured supply route.”
Supply Chain for Green Building Products
Kevin Hancock, Burdens group marketing director, commented: “The development of a sustainable market of green building products has been marred by lack of definition, fragmentation and indifferent deliverability. With this new initiative, Burdens is creating a supply ‘hub’ that will help the supply chain to come together to meet the demands of a growing sustainability agenda.”
